I was referring to the fact that the Palsars mission during war time is to be ahead of the brigade in order to provide it with recon, while the Orev and Palhan units missions during war is to operate along side their brigades.
anyway, pictures of Duvdevan from various times:

^^ nice pics.
Does every Duvdevan member have to know Arabic? After all they go undercover.
I don't know much about the navy but apparently these are some kind of boats used by Shayetet 13 (navy commandos).

The pictures are from the official IDF site.
Could the IN order something similar to this in the near future?
Could Israel possibly need such a vessel?
Would IN need a minimum force projection capability?
I guess they could use one or two BPC as "base at sea" even off the shore of Israel, and send helicopters to prevent smuggling.
But I agree they already do that with smaller boats too and/or with land based helicopters...
Maybe a version capable of launching JSF (like Australia is planning to get) would then be more interesting to Israel?
In case of conflict with Iran (or whoever in this region) would such a vessel (or any other Israel Navy Ship) be allowed access to the red sea then Persian gulf?
(Is IN allowed to use the Suez canal?)
Or would Israel be better off sending IAF jets from Israel (less complications, less logistics involved, no need to ask to go through Suez etc)?
Sorry for all these questions, but I am interested by this topics, especially the suez part...
Nice pics.
Does women also serve as tank crew in IDF?
you dont get to see the Shifon very often...
