    Private Oren Almog.

On October 4, 2003 Oren Almog lost his father, brother, grandfather, grandmother, and cousin in Maxim restaurant suicide bombing, when he was 10 years old. He was severely wounded and completely lost his eyesight.

Now he volunteered to serve in the IDF. He is going to serve in a secretive unit within the intelligence corps (easy to guess the exact unit).

Default IDF Alpinist Unit Winter of 2012

Every year during the winter season, the combat soldiers of the Alpine Unit are dispatched to Mount Hermon, after having been trained to operate under extreme weather conditions. January 22, 2012.

    Default IDF Weapons Instructor

It’s a well known fact that the IDF trains some of the best soldiers in the world, but at the source of every good soldier lies an exceptional instructor – and that’s where Cpl. Daniella Stepanoe steps in. She travels from base to base training everyone from paratroopers to elite special forces units in the use of their weapons

For a minute I thought the harness they're using was the 6 Day War era webbing we had on kibbutz. All the black kind of defeats the snow camo.

I found a blogger describes the recent paratrooper bridage exercise.

...Then came the green light. First guy was out. Then the next. And the next. No time to think. Just get to the door and push your body out. Don't resist the jump instructors as they literally throw you out to help with the extra weight. Just go go go. The noise is deafening. How can I get in the door and make it through this blustering wind? Two guys ahead of me. Now he's gone. Michael, my MAG partner, in front of me, throws his cord to the end of the line, stands in the door, jumps and disappears. I throw my cord, turn to the doorway, don't look down don't look down don't look down...and I'm out, twisting and turning as the yellow cord pulls on the parachute and it opens beautifully above my head...

The guy uses an odd color setting don't blame me that it looks weird. (Edit: Never mind MP.net autoi-corrected.)
