Sleeping is an important part of the training!

Someone who was in infantry would never say that in a sarcastic tone.

We sleep every chance we get.

And you also sleep in unpleasant places from time to time.

Yes. The trick is having the almost innate ability to wake up just in the nick of time for whatever happens next.

I have succeded where few have, sleeping through a 30 minute drive in an Achzarit while sitting in the medic's chair... that's the closest you can get to sleeping on the damn power unit while it's working!

There is an art to sleeping ... I could do it pretty much anywhere too, including in a moving Nagmash or while standing up. I found that I could even sleep on the C130 before a jump, but would force myself not to.

Am I the only one who can see something very peculiar about the mirco-tavors or the designated marksman? I mean, why is the ring around the barrel removed - to make it "free-floating"? That's a hoot.

IDF soldiers from the elite Egoz reconnaissance unit -- guerrilla warfare specialists -- blend into the landscape of northern Israel.

I wont argue that. In our defense, it wasnt a wrong spot, it was the only spot.

Cry me a river. I did it from one end of the Golan to the other with a MAG. By the time a doctor saw it (much less got it x-rayed) the damage was done. They almost wouldn't let me jump with it 3 months later. It's still bigger than the healthy left ankle.
