The Vietcong and the NVA
Here's various pictures of the Vietcong , North-Vietnamese army and various irregulars from the 1960's and 1970's. It isn't much but you'll get the idea of what 'Charlie' looked like back then when he was still the enemy of the day.
A mine is being placed. Let's see if anyone of you can identify that rifle !
Females of the Vietcong acting as "color guard" during the Hanoi victory parade. As you can see , one of the soldiers is a carrying an M1 Carbine.
Sampans , a comfortable and most of all quiet way to move around.

The Russian RPD - machineguns were often "more valuable than gold" to the VC/NVA - units. You can all guess that difference one of them made especially when reflected upon the scarse weaponry the VC had at it's disposal sometimes.

The other side might've had Huey's and whatever else but the VC traveled by four legs..

the rifle looks an SKS of some sort
Perhaps I'm helping you guys out way too much here by telling that the rifle in the first pic does come from the same country as the SKS does (not a surprise really when considering Charlie's choice of weapons) . Although , to tell you the truth , I'm not quite sure what rifle it is in the first place.
Who knows , it might be one of em' SKS's.. I was hoping one of you could guess it.
Mosin Nagant M38 or M44 cant tell for sure if there is a bayonet.

It's a Mosin-Nagant. And by the looks of it , might be a M44 Mosin-Nagant for that matter. Although I'm not quite sure.
Maybe guys like REMOV here can make the final inspection and tell us how it is.

Interesting last pic though, looks like an American AT grenade mounted on a M44. It figures since both rifles have the same bore size.

Sure , although they're a bit of a mixed bunch.
Now these guys are definite NVA with their Khaki uniforms and pith helmets.

Hello all,
isn't the M44 refered to as a M53 in the Chinese aresenal? It is the one that is not in my collection, darn it!!
