I've been lurking on the site for a while now and if I see this topic come up again I might loose it. I am black /african-american whatever you wanna call it and I have been in SOF for a while. Yes there black guys in SF/RANGERS /SEALS/AFSOC/ FORCE RECON and every other alphabet soup high-speed low drag group you can think of and yes the numbers are lower vs my white brothers. RACISM is not the reason that you do not see as many black operators (it was a problem and I have friends who can back that up) you dont see them because they are fewer in number and do not make and effort to jump in front of a camera for your viewing pleasure. SOF has made effort to recruit minority members but the only people who belong in the community are those that choose this way of life and some just do not want it. This does not mean that minorities are less patriotic or Scared take a look at your adverage combat arms unit (AIRBORNE or straight legg) and you will see SOLDIERS of every color . Now there are some people who belive that the SOF community is racist by its nature and this keeps some from choosing the life.

I have no way of knowing wether you are actually in the SF or not, but regardless of that fact I agree with your post 100%.

The PC crowd can say what it likes about all races being the same but its all BS. Take a look at the olympics: There are no white sprinters getting medals and no black swimmers. It doesnt mean no black people can swim, or all white people are good swimmers.

For whatever reason in the military certain MOS's see more or less black or white people. I havent seen many all white Bradleys or Abrahms rolling, but its rare I see black SF guys, force recon guys, rangers or others. I dont know the reason but I have heard the swimming mentioned by many of those guys as a test that sees a lot of the black guys fail.

In general black people are more athletic than white people. Look at your NBA for example or all those long runners at the Olympic games, mostly blacks..

SF's units consist mostly of pretty conservative people. Would they like to have black people around them?
