they just handed us something that looked to be our size when i was in the army. So we had to "trade" a bit to get the right size.

    Default Thanks

Great pics, brings me memories... I was just a little boy then... My freinds and I would see lots of GIs in the Mall, and the streets of Al-Khobar. No armored vehicles in the city of Al-Khobar, but the sight of F-15s, F-16s, Tornados and Harriers passing by every 15 minutes was great. The time interval for BlackHawks passing by was almost 20 minutes apart. The sky was saturated in activity. You get to see AWACs passing by in the morning or the afternoon, Apaches heading north, and in the night you just hear them roar...

Hope to see more pics... Thanks c",)

    great!!!
    A question:
i just remeber this thread about certain style of BDU's. Talking about "baggy" pants and if there's any purpose on tighter fitting or baggy BDU's. The subject back then was french soldiers from desert storm who had very tight fitting pants. It seems the "baggy" BDU's in the us army also came later. Just noticed it. Is it following a purpose?

    Totally awesome pictures!

Got to love that grainy film quality, one that you don't get with digital cameras.

great pics... as for the baggy / tight fitting pants... the soldier in the pic has just "Stove Pipped" is pants, that is he's wrapped them around is leg... I always thought this looked stupid, and so does the Army, it's not allowed...

i remember we didnt have much of a selection on pant size when we were issued our desert bdu 's . mine were a little too big for me.
