Hope the Swedes and the Germans will work more together in the future!

that´s correct, I believe we have one of these under service, operating under the navy command, currently the Brazilian Navy is waiting for our congressmen to aprove a R$24 billion (around US$8 billion) project for buying new ships, helis, jets, as well as upgrading the actual ones

SEP

From http://www.alvishagglunds.se/stdpage.asp?Pid=12:

SEP (Swedish abbreviation for “Splitterskyddad EnhetsPlattform”, Modular Armoured Tactical System) is a modular multi-role vehicle system. SEP combines the high valued parameters:

- Low systemcost
- Low signature
- High mobility
- High flexibility
- High reliability
- Extremely high load capacity (weight/volume) in relation to vehicle weight/volume into a system for the future armed forces.

Background
The modular design allows the vehicle to be configured for more than twenty different roles including armoured personnel carrier, command post, ambulance, medical vehicle, anti-tank missile system, anti aircraft missile system, mortar vehicle, reconnaissance, forward observation vehicle, nuclear, biological and chemical warfare decontamination centre, mine clearing and mine scattering, recovery and repair, communication post, radar, electronic warfare.

The mission or role specific modules can be fitted on both the SEP-track and SEP wheel vehicle base units. Plug in building blocks will be used allowing fast adaptation to different tasks and quick upgrades as new technologies become available.

The wheeled and tracked version

The SEP modular concept

The SSG120 (AMOS) twin-barrel mortar system

From http://www.patriahagglunds.fi/amos.html:

AMOS®, "Advanced MOrtar System", is a double barreled breech-loading 120 mm mortar turret designed to be mounted on wheeled or tracked APC chassis and on fast combat boats. It is able to operate autonomously with impressive firepower, including direct and indirect fire capability together with Multible Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI), up to a range of 10 km.

And here are some of the features:

• High rate of fire due to double barrel concept
• Direct fire capability
• Rapid deployment due to instrumentation for vehicle location and attitude; well suited for shoot & scoot tactics
• Ballistic protection against infantry weapons and splinters
• Muzzle blast and NBC protection
• Low chassis loads due to recoiling mechanism; suitability for both wheeled and tracked chassis
• Suitability for all standard 120 smoothbore mortar ammunition as well as smart guided ammunition
• Full 360° traverse without limitations due to turret mounting and recoil mechanism
