Weaponology: Sniper Rifles
PART 1From 18th-century German Jaeger rifles to the modern Barrett AS50, see how centuries of technological innovation have resulted in firearms that can kill at 2,000 yards. The history of bullets, guns, sights, actions, camouflage and tactics are all unravelled as Weaponology gets locked and loaded.
P.S: Yes I know that the AS50 is not made by Barrett, but by AI.
Some "Big Army" snipers:
anybody got more?
post more guys!!!
dope is the zero for a certain range or in general of a weapon.
For example, if you are shooting from 600m with a fresh wind from the east, you can look that up in your dope book and see what windage adjustments you had to make on the range in order to have a kill shot.
It's a pain in the ass to do at the time, but a valuable reference.
Maybe it is a silly questions, but are there any sniper running cadences? (in marine scout/sniper school for example)
