    But everyone's different, thank goodness.
And some of what I wrote about the NM149 and AG3 is taken from wikipedia, but I've written it so that it is a bit easier to understand and a little less history and a little bit about what I know about, but it is up to the other if they are interested in more specific facts about these weapons, it is just to dig deeper ... he he he
I personally prefer the British or Canasian bolt action rifle, can not remember what it was called...!!!
    Thanks.
Are you actually in the Norwegian military and have access to these weapons & scopes

or just cut and pasting what you believe to be true?

    Im with Connaught Ranger here.

The NM 149 comes with a S&B 6x42 scope as standard. It has the option to swap it out for a Simrad KN250(?) if i remember correctly.

What exactly are you talking about? There is no plans to re-equip the NM with new optics. They are being phased out and 417 is/have replaced them.

Ay, I see your point mate`s...
No, I'm not in the Norwegian military, I do only with precision shooting with bolt action rifles and hunting on the side.
I did not mean to shake the beehive, mate`s.
I wrote a little about the history of these weapons and has heard from people who have undergone sniper courses, and some others who have been in iraq or Afghanistan regarding the term optics to NM149.
Ps: I'm from the area where weaponsmithy(våpensmia) is located and I have visited them and is slightly interested in the history of the old sniper weapons, the Norwegian military had.

Everyone has their different opinions, I respect that.

If there is a larger debate of this subject, so I lose, guaranteed, I admit it.
And I am aware that with HK416/17 that the Norwegian military uses.

But i want to see more sniper pictures, lads

The scope on the NM149, schmidt&Bender, are not good for shooting from 450-800m, because the reticle i very thick, and you cant see a half-peace(?) paper figure at that distance, i saw some of them had removed the original scope with a leupold scope, those av a thin reticle
