Depending on the task a sniper team [may cache extraneous gear before moving into their final firing position or equivalent. But it would be pointless to leave a pistol behind.

A true sniper is a vetted marksman who has graduated his respective military's advanced marksmanship program.
There's a good article here explaining differences between Designated Marksmen and more traditional "snipers".

No problem. Snipers have always interested me. I saw the movie Sniper when I was like 10 and have been interested in the real thing ever since.

if you look very closely you can see it's only his rifle, no manWow his ghillie is so good.bnut he needs to work more on his rifle.
