    are you shure that this are snipers from israel ?



    i dont know much about israels snipers, but i know that the IDF have another uniform, and not in camuflage,, thier uniforms have just one color: green. and this guys have just gray uniforms.

    and since when, do thy use new russian guns ?

    Why is it that photos from such places like Iraq or Afghanistan show snipers wearing a shemagh when they are looking through their scopes ?

    I was reading 'sniper one', and the author said helmets get in the way of things.

    Yeah.... The position with which you hold your head while behind optics for long durations is a bitch with a helmet on.
    I imagine the schemagh is just for a bit of cam and a little LCF.

    I used a shemach to keep my eye in the shade, putting it over my head and scope. It also helps you not getting destracted. It has other disadvantages though.

    P.S. From the pic I see that it is used otherwise....

    Yeah, thats a good point. Also good for sweat,
    But I think in this picture, the shooter knows there is a pic being taken.
