    There's your answer.

This one strikes me as funny: "The German Army, like the rest of NATO is seems, is looking for a Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR)."

I remember just a few years ago a lot of people from Western countries were saying that the Designated Marksmen in some former Eastern Block countries were outdated, unneeded, better replaced by snipers etc.... just because their armies didn't have them. Now the same people will explain how great it is to have a designated marksman...

    Nice M-93!

Those pictures are great! They show so much but reveal so little, so there isn't the need for a huge black box on their faces

    Wondering, to those who "do".
    What's your preffered kit ?
    Chestys, vests or belts ?

I'm not just talkn for Range ( plink ) time. I'm looking for ideas from those who have "battle" tested kits as a Sniper or DM and would grab this to go.
I'm seeking some knowledge, as I'm planning my 2011 Training Calendar and hope to get out to a good Sniper / DM or Precision Rifle course.

Just wondering I have a bunch of options and I dig on the chestys, mostly. I like the belt kit during the summer months, but...
realalisticly ya really gonna carry all the options.

So if you had to narrow it down to the 1- and only what would it be ?

I know.. At the end of it all, it's the end-user's preference.

These kit questions don't really go down well here.....

Anyway...you did answer your own question already!

It's all up to the users preference...... if it works use it....looks really don't
    survive too long out there

Yeah it seems like a pretty straight forward Q? tho. is it not...

I'm planning on attending a Class in 2011, I have several kits to choose from.
If you "DO" this ( ie: Sniper / SM ) what would YOU take to a class, if you too have several kits to choose from.
This would be the 1 piece, aside from my Pack and other essentials that I'd take as my Kit.

If you're planning a lot of time on your belt buckle then traditional webbing seems the obvious choice for me. Allows for plenty of ventilation and getting close to mother nature.

as with most equipment you should narrow it down to which can support your role and from those which you feel most confortable in using.
