Yes, I guess so.......Col Županić is good friend of him, indeed.

Da, znam.....tako sam i predpostavljao....ipak je on vrlo dobar Županićev prijatelj and vice a versa.

Due to the ongoing balkan bitch fest and the resulting drain on time, effort and energy of the Mod's I'm locking this thread and every other active balkan thread for the present time.

Serb, Croat, Bosniac, whatever; you're all equally culpable for this current pandemic of stupidity judging by the bans and suspensions handed out.

From this point on there will be a moratorium on any new balkan related threads, and the resuscitation of any and all inactive balkan threads, till the collective attitude of the MP.net balkan membership improves by several orders of magnitude.

Once I feel that this has occured I will unlock the threads.

Attempts to start new threads will be met with infractions in the first instance followed long term suspensions if that doesn't sink in.

The Balkan thread ban is over.

    For the time being.

Be warned however, it can and will return if our Balkan members lapse back into the usual spasms of stupidity.

Keep all historical discussion to the period 2001 and after. Do not engage in discussion of events prior to that.

That pertains particularly to historical photo threads prior to 2000.

Asking questions about uniforms, weapons, formations, etc, is acceptable.

Any trolling or flaming will be met with summary banning.

    Default Gripen promotion.

    From MORH:
As part of bilateral defence cooperation between Croatia and the Kingdom of Sweden, on Monday, October 5, two Swedish Gripen military aircraft landed in the 91st "Pleso" Air Base. The visit of members of fighter aircraft squadron of the Swedish Air Force to the CAF Air Force and Air Defence Command and 91st Air Force Base was a good opportunity for exchange of experience between pilots and aviation-technical staff regarding Air Policing and aviation-technical maintenance of aircraft used in the two countries, and all with the aim of achieving interoperability with NATO partner countries.

Arrival of the Swedish military aircraft was also an opportunity for joint flight of the Swedish and Croatian Air Force pilots. "The aircraft has a different performance than the MiG 21 aircraft types, and as in all other modern fighter aircraft all is subjected to pilot", Captain Jagodic said after flying in Gripen. Also, it was particularly interesting to hear the direct experience of Swedish military pilots including pilot Robert Krznarić who is of Croatian origin.
Upon completion of the visit to the Republic of Croatia members of the Swedish Air Force left for Hungary where they currently participate in NATO "LION EFFORT 2009" international military exercise, and where two pilots from the CAF Air Force and Air Defence also participate as observers.

Wings of Storm performing in Austria, June 2009

One of the activities by which our country contributes to building stability in the Republic of Iraq is carried out in the Training Centre for guides and official dogs "Captain Krešimir Ivošević" in Dugo Selo. Six members of Iraqi security forces and their leader, LT Mohammed Al-Maliki have been here on training for guides and dogs for detection of explosives since the beginning of May. Training of the members of Iraqi security forces will last seven months and it is carried out with dogs raised at the breeding site of the Training Centre. These are German shepherds about one year old and this is the most ideal age to begin training. All necessary specialist equipment was purchased and it will be donated to Iraqi side together with the dogs after the training.
