Hey, what it it about this story about a possible reduction of the Patria's numbers?
Usual Jut... ..st buill**** or something well founded?
I think is bull## first plan whose to buy more after 2015(when we must have ready NATO battle group) They will probably reduce 30mm with more 12,7 and cancel 120mm NEMO(hope not) in 2015 dill witch could end up few years longer

They will call this LOV for backuphaha
We will just have to weight till 2015 to see there will be some 30mm 6I think.
The main problem now is FCCS from Thales.. mucho dinero!
I was thinking about Singapour new 8x8 and their FCCS is superb with cameras and all sci-fi stuff with 0.50 & 40mmGL plus 7.62 GPMG I will be happy with that
Hmm Poland has around 30 Rosomak-M3 now in Afghanistan and 70 Rosomak with 30 mm.So, they weill have a 26 ton veicle armed with a 0.50?
Rosomak-M3 is armed with 12,7 mm heavy machine gun or 40 mm Mk.19 or 7,62 machine gun.
What is my point, in close contact with enemy 30 mm is not enough, sometimes you can't even use machine gun conected to chain gun, that's why you can use vehicle with smaller weapon but wich can engage enemy closer than 60 meters from your position. I even heard that Polish forces has contact with enemy from range like 30 meters, in that situation you can't even attack mith Mk.19 or heavy machine gun, that is why sometimes you can see 7,62 or 5,56 next to something heavier.

Actually, the whole situation in Armed Forces is waaaaay from good
From today's Dnevnik HRT
As Defense minister stated in the report, they are waging between three options, prolonged delivery of APC, prolonged payment and reduced number of ordered Patrias.
(on the mentioned Thales - according to Nacional weekly (so don't take it 100% real) the French have called our ambassador in Paris to explain why army budget cuts effect their expected deal with us)
And some parts of army units have been sent on vacationuntil spring.
The journalist used good comparison, the knife cutting our army budget was not surgical, it was butcher's.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear some ideas about complete extinguishing of Armed Forces, just like we had in Slovenia recently. Nothing is impossible in Croatia anymore, sadly but true.
Let' s see:
Patria APC - deal is being redefined
New fighter jet - prolonged until further notice (or notice that we're letting Italians to patrol our skies)
New assault rifle - what about that VHS? No news since how long..
New ships for HRM - ....
Somehow it makes you think that our reputation in the NATO will be on low scale (with exception of our troops in abroad missions).
Or, in native tongue... pušiona.
Rosomak-M3 will have RCWS, we had big problem with choosing turret (we had 3 winners, one after another) Of course RCWS is not better in every goal than hand operated weapon. But RCWS is giving you thermal, NV, zoom etc... So, 12,7 on heavy vehicle is not bad if you have vehicles with something heavier. And IMHO Patria is best vehicle on modern warfare in his class.Croatian 12.7 are RCWS only so far; but when you think about it yours M3 make sense to have a few and its cheep
Could anyone post pics of croatian artillry units equipped with the 155mm howitzer H1N1, I think they are stationed in Virovytica, thanks in advance.
