I don't think AMV's will be sold, there are no customers, and economically it would be stupid.

On a possibly related subject: http://www.jutarnji.hr/i-ako-bude-os...ednik/1036461/

First deputy prime minister Čačić won't resign if he is found guilty by the Hungarian court tomorrow for killing two people in a traffic collision, which he caused. I'm afraid they'll find him not guilty for political reasons, but if by some miracle the judge sentences him to prison time, he'll still be a minister and deputy head of government. I can't find the words to express my disgust.

Article has real ridiculous parts like one about Milanović determination to set focus on Navy and Coast Guard.
Some focus, one ship to be built in three years.. and that if some AMVs are to be sold.

Well, we're going to be only Western allied country as proud owner of MiG 21 as primary fighter plane in 2015.
Forty years old, bought to fight a war twenty years ago. Nice job, detudjmanising* yahoos (since 2000.)

    * - detudjmanising - not related so much to the person of first- and foremost and no matter what some may say still the last real - Croatian president but more to the statehoodness concept of Croatia that is today present only in traces.
And last days Josipović (wanting the public to rally behind this leftist inept chicken coop government) wonders where the spirit of the 90s has gone ( He and likes of him killed it, slowly and sistematically.

Anyhow we're flashing our fire-fighting ability even in Greece, sending one Canadair to country which has 21 own CLs 215 or 415.. but also has 157 F-16 of newer variants. (not even 9% of Hellenic Air Force are CLs, while in HRZ half of fleet are Canadairs)

Let's rename it to Croatian Flying Firemen and end the story.
Who knows, with announced procurement of two seater Air Tractor maybe the so called Smart Defense concept sees Croatians as NATO's designated winged firemen.

    Disgusted once more.

Air-to-air live fire exercise using R-60s. Probably around 7-9 years ago.

MORH-u stigla besplatna ponuda: mađarski i švedski Gripeni Hrvatskoj besplatno na 2 godine

English: MORH-u arrived in a free offer: Swedish Gripen Hungarian and Croatian free at 2 years

This is good offer considering all circumstances.
But, yesterday our PM Milanović (currently moonlighting as advocate of his deputy Čačić, most unpopular person in Croatia at the moment) stated after meeting with NATO secretary general Rasmussen that we don't need new fighters from security point of view, and that they're out of reach from financial point of view. He even mentioned Gripen specifically.

So, it is very possible that they will refuse this offer (not from SAAB but from Swedish state itself) after which Gripen will definitely leave Croatia as prospect buyer - which will leave HRZ in MiG21 for another decade or so, leading slowly but certainly to demise of combat component in our Air Force which will then become winged ambulance and fire department (my suggestion then is to change name in ZCZ, zrakoplovstvo civilne zaštite).

Or, which is even worse, Milanović (a clown completely dependent on Čačić) maybe wants to keep his potential deal with Russians and old Hungarian MiG 29s alive... who knows

    Nažalost FXM-ova ponuda nije prihvaćena.

    Prva ponuda:

C/P from most prominent Croatian forum, topic on future of HRZ combat component.
In short, the latest offer of Swedish FXM was rejected.
First offer was free use of 6 JAS 39 jets for 3 years with no obligation of purchase. That was considered financially unsatisfactory and unrealistic in regard of introduction of the planes, adjustment and training of personnel).
Second was alteration of first, two more years of Croatian usage of 6 planes with payment of 1 million euros annual cost per plane (6 million in total), also with no obligation of later purchase.

Yes, this offer certainly binds us with SAAB because after 3 or 5 years it would be difficult to switch from Gripen to some other plane but somehow it feels like last train of oportunity for supersonic part of HRZ has left the station.

Or has the big kahoona of actual government, freshly sentenced in Hungary for trafic accident with fatal outcome, pushing the deal with Russians to get, now that's interesting, MiG 29's of the Hungarian Air Force of the that have been put out of use - and hearing for that deal, the government in Hungary stated that no such deal is possbile since MiG's are theirs not Russian.

According to our trash journals, this time Jutarnji, the Office of the President is rooting for prolonging the life of MiG 21 with hope that in 6-10 years will be able to buy new planes with one or more countries in the so called Region (i.e. ex Yugoslavia)... nice way to bring yugo air force back to life...

That means Croatia to be last country of free world flying fishbeds in third decade of 21st century. Awesome..........................not.

Not surprising. Our entire political "elite" suffers from a paralysing fear of making decisions. If not directed by Bruxelles, they simply don't dare deciding something for themselves, or even worse, in the interest of the Croatian people.

    Anyway, some photos from Kosovo:

Today at the session of government pass the decision to donated U.S. Marine Corps with 1200 AK-47.
I do not know the number(Its not the first one) of donations generously given by the Croatia so far but the number of given AK-47 will shore make me cry.

    I now expect a donation back of 1200 SAWs M249 and M240 ! ! !

An interwiew to minister Kotromanovic on today's Slobodna Dalmacija.

It was mainly about cuts in defence minister, but also he stated that:
Morh has still intention to buy 30mm turret with AT missiles for Patrias, but have to look after money so timing have to be determined.
About fighters a choice have still to be taken and it is not ever close to conclusion as some sites have written, but it is about the offer not about having figters or not.
