photos FN SCAR-L / Mk.16 rifle

debated putting in equipment forums, just starting to like this gun alot, made it for a video game mod, now im on the search for a sound recording of its fire modes... being that there are 2 calibers avail, they probally sound way different from each other.

srry if posted before, havent seen many photos of the desert color one yet, be grateful if you have any to trade. i'm a collector of gun photos for making 3d models,ty,enjoy, the ^eater^

Since Xm8 is gone, i wonder if we will see this rifle in combat soon, anyway, mabey beside just in the hands of special group operators...

This rifle is only for Special Operations

A regular 11b would never use this rifle in the field.

X8 is cancelled..it will be a matter of time till some 11 bravo uses them

I dont like that much the grenade launcher's trigger system that wrap around the mag....it must be comfortable to shoot for sure but changing the mag looks complicated under stress

Spec Ops for now....but down the road..look at the colt commandos in Nam

is the black version or the tan the newest? i personally like the tan with a more "m16" style grip and interface, but i love them both, hope to see more and more of it in the future

I like the black you can't go wrong, I think the tan is newest

They are the same as m16 and m14

I think the GL is shameful, but I don't know how it functions.

I'd like to see a longer barrel, and probably a longer bit of rail real estate, but those are potentially written off as personal preferences...

The selector is still too friggin small -- it wouldn't kill them to drop on a bigger, easier peice.

Again, for me at least (estimating using math, yardstick) the up/down adjustable part of the buttstock is too far forward, and I would hate the thing -- again they could hang that back a ways, make it actually functional when extended.

Lastly, WTF are they doing putting a big hunk of rail on the barrel? I was under the impression that free floating it was way smarter, maybe I'm dumb or something, but slapping a bipod on that is kinda unhelpful -- at least for the longer barreled variants.

The US getting the XM320 Grenade Launcher (i.e. AG-36) so I don't think you'll be seeing that version of grenade launcher fitted to the FN-Scar.

If they don't fit that, I'd think you're more likely to see a 203 on it unless the US plans on fielding 3 grenade launchers (4 including the M79)
