The speed record for helicopters is still officially held by the humble Westland Lynx at 400.87km/h set in 1986 (it was modified a bit though)
Nothing humble about the Lynx... an excellent helo by any standard. Of course it doesn't carry several hundred kgs of Titanium armour like the Hind does.

(Should also point out that the Cobra and the Apache are also worthy helos, with the Cobra being cheap and effective, and the Apache being capable, but a bit expensive... 25 million a pop...)

The Crocodile is a good chopper, simply because if it is used right you sure as hell don't want to be within LOS of one that is hunting you. Apache is good in its own right but I think that when it comes to looks the Crocodile looks about as menacing as they get.

I have read read in some place that the fastest helicopter actually is the Super Lynx and i remember that it had a speed of more than 400km\h but the real speed i do not remember, sorry.

I don't think you would call almost friendly if it were hunting you!

If it were hunting me I would be hiding in a very deep hole.

According to fas.org and globalsecurity.com both AH 64A and AH 1Z max out at 152 knots (Maximum level speed at S/L).

Mi 24(180knt) is appr 55km/h faster than both of them.

What other "many helos are also "faster"?
Speed is not always the best thing in Atttack helo. Pilot and training
are most important. So an expirienced AH-64 or P.A.H. 2 tiger pilot could easily take down Mi-24.

P.S. Max. Speed of an AH-64A is 390km/h
