The Marines are issuing the tan pouches, but they are also issuing the woodland ones aswell.

So, the choice is yours, go with either the woodland or tan.

I dont think the Marines are using AITES or SDS COYOTE BROWN M16 & Frag pouches, but A LOT of them are still using Woodland ones. So i'd suggest you get woodland frag & m16 pouches. Now, for the IFAK/Med pouch/Util pouch (what ever you use it for) You need to get the AITES one, in Coyote Brown. Camelbak wise, get the NSN STORM one (od/black) or the Camelbak Thermobak 3L in coyote brown.

Yea, a lot of them are using woodland pouches, but there are marines using tan pouches on their IBAs. I think some of the tan pouches are issue, but some Marines buy their own pouches in tan from blackhawk, lightfighter, etc.

oh, yea. I've seen Marines with the coyote tan BHI pouches before some even with a BHI CCH over there IBA. From what I understand (from what im told) the Marines buy them with there own money, obviously, but have to the "go ahead" from there gunny.

How come everyone thinks the Gunny is the one to seek permission from to wear certain things?

    People these days....

Marines don't tend to have the M4A1 in inventory, they use the M4, not the A1 version.

They use US Optics too (USO bought out Unertl).
Theres not a company called "ACOG". There IS a company called TRIJICON that makes an optic called an ACOG, and there are many different versions of the "ACOG".

They wear Bates and/or Belliville boots. Most use the Belliville because the soles are better.

i do know that trijicon make several versions of the acog... its just that everyones saying "no they use this this and this not this this and this" the marines use a wide variety of equipment and its some of the best in the world... if our marines were equipped like the americans we'd kick some serious arse.
