well maybe i sounded bit smartypants in "secret ones" post, but i don't want to write here rumors I’ve been told by friends. They are informed, but its only rumors.
IMHO was SOG disbanded in 2010, MP keep their weapons.
About CZ805 i think MP will accept it, but 601st in pix from link in 2010 used Sa58 and this would suggest that they will maybe keep it as long they can. With all respect to new BREN, SF like this is primary no shooting business and they will want to keep reliable gun they are used to.

and some pix as apologize for chat in pix thread

Nope, equipment from disbanded SOG is everywhere around army, also in MP, but not everything for sure. You can´t compare 805 to 58. 5,56 to 7,62. There are still few advantages why to take vz58 for czech green work instead of some 5,56 weapon. Why are they using it for CQB in few pics, well, that is a question

I must admit that I am anything but not expert for weapons and ammo. Could you write few + and - of 58 and 805 on hypotethical middle european battlefield ?

You can compare every assault rifle old and modern one, fed by every intermediate ammunition. There is no such thing as "ideal cartridge" and will never be, both 5.56x45 and 7.62x39 have their advantages and disadvantages.

When it comes to full-scale conflict in Europe there is no matter if soldier would use assault rifle or battle rifle, an old Izhevsk AK, CZ vz.58, M16A1, H&K G3, FN FAL, or brand new H&K G36A2, CZ S805 BREN, FN SCAR-L or whatever. The individual armament in such war is less important. And in such situation does not matter at all if you had got the iron sights or scopes, laser designators or just flashlight. The SCAR-ish like features which nearly all modern assault/battle rifles have got, Picatinny rails, tactical scopes, tactical lights, tactial designators all of them are the effect of modern asymmetric conflict: find the rebel with his AKMS quicker, aim at him faster, and shoot first.

Hi Dr4x; on the web page from the links you have attached I've found some pictures of the 601st SKSS combat divers.
Any info about them? Does the 601st SKSS have combat divers element in every company, lika British SAS ors German KSK, or are they separated subunit? Can anyone clear me up?

From what is written on their official website I understand that they are trained in specialization and later they take their place in each battle group and they train and deploy together. On the other hand they are also reffered as "Sappers group". I don´t know. Very little is known about 601st structure.

Some pictures from combat shootings of 7th mechanised brigade of Czech Army. Two tank platoons and one mechanised (and before one motorized) were in action. The rest of 39 photos are in photostream in Flickr.
