Evening peeps, just sold my welder on ebay, for about a third of what I paid for it.

Yes, just a basic electrode set, nothing fancy, the cost of these things has dropped a lot.

Looked it up: 5 and 24 indeed... Not sure about this. Parking will indeed be a nightmare.

As sad as it may sound, probably a good investment though..I fathom real estate prices only going up in that area for the time being..Still, would you want to live there? lol

I would not want to live there, or anywhere in Amsterdam at all. Not even if they paid me to.

Hahaha! It's an illness. If I'd win the lottery, I'd still buy a house in Amsterdam. Never Blaricum or something. lol

So it's not only in people's imagination. Recent study here in Finland showed that quite a number of young people living in cities/towns would prefer countryside over urban surroundings.

Had the very same thing happen to me in February. Had creditors calling me even after having it cleared up, pretty freaky time. Some asshole had crawled into both mine and my neighbor's mailboxes just as our W-2's were being sent as well as a new credit card. Neighbor had up to $800 worth of fraudulent charges.

both have their charms, I have both, in the city(small) during the week, countryside in the weekend(although the city is expending fast)

Less of little rules and ordinances, you can leave your door unlocked, people are frendly and laid back. Nobody cares who you are or what you do. In short; the perfect place to come home to.

Quite true but I think this part "Nobody cares who you are or what you do" applies to urban dwellers as well... at least bigger population centres. Whereas in small villages outsiders and newcomers might be under scrutiny, at first at least.
