Had a few beers after work with a couple of colleagues..The Hague might have cool palaces and stuff, but its nightlife is about as exciting as knitting.

As a conscript I was stationed in The Hague, lunch&lounge at the boulevard was one of our activities when not actually doing some work.
I wonder..Was conscription really that bad? I often hear guys whine about it, but my dad for example mostly describes it as if he was getting paid to do some PT, wear cool uniforms and sometimes fire a rifle. Not to mention the tax free booze and smokes when on training in Germany. lol
I was in Signals, comms were manned around the clock, we were always busy. But in the right shift there was time for some fun too.
