Here fifth of november day is pretty sad, just visited some graves of relatives today with my parents.
remember, remember the fifth of november...
It's apparently a big thing out there, a friend who is on a student exchange-programme in Leicester send me some pics of what they are going to fire off tonight, looking good.
Can't wait untill the 31st of dec, to fire mine, when it comes to things that explode one way or another, I'm still a little boy.Last yearwe also used a flare gun to fire of some rounds with a parachute, but it appeared to dangerous as they came down to fast and drifted towards some houses, nothingh really happened, but batter be carefull, you never know

Hi Pemm
Is that a national day of sadness, or just your own family's?

Oops. Nevermind. I see you have a later All Saints Day.
Its national day to remember dead relatives.
Well hopefully you get to have some coffee and cake or biscuits at home once you get back from the cemetery.
Hardly anyone does the All Saints Day here in the USA except us Catholics. And most of us just go to church on that day.
On another topic:
Here in Boise it is -3 degrees C this morning. It will get up to 7 in the daytime. Tonight we have our time change (which I hate because I'm a night owl and that means one less hour of light in the evening) and we just got our first light covering of snow. It will be gone by mid day.
Actually the day for relatives here is first Saturday of november and for the veterans on third sunday of may.
Nope. We pretty much have only All Saints Day, and mostly only the Catholics observe it. Mexican-Americans though, are increasingly bringing in their own active observance of Dia de los Muertos.
The unofficial official US day that people most visit cemeteries is Memorial Day, the last Monday of May.

Millions of £££ up in smoke!
Someone took some of my writing and fiction and is selling it on Amazon.com in book form. Should I take part in the ancient American ritual of lawsuit, be flattered, or laugh that someone would spend $20 bucks on something horribly written that they could read online for free?
