Nah, the marina hired a crane to get all the boats on the dry..It's just that I have very fond childhood memories of this boat, and to see it handled by folks I don't even know gives me the creeps.
On a positive note, it gives me the chance to have a very good look at the hull. With my mother's health deteriorating, my father hasn't exactly kept up with regular maintenance. Might give me something to get my mind of off things.

When I was a kid I read John Carter of Mars and stuff like that. This series, a similar story- human sent to another world- type of thing started in the early 70s. It was very sexist and all those covers by Boris were very representational of the insides.No pix?
