That's fine...if you think you're cool. Guys get hit bad with balls all the time and **** does break with baseballs. And those things also travel in excess of 90+.

I just attached rails and a forward grip to my air rifle. Tacticool bird killing ftw.

edit: Speaking of killing, I just watched the 2 first minutes of the first episode of "Jersey Shore".

edit: That snickers girl reminds me a lot of a girl I know. They're both short, fat and attention whores. I saw an animated gif of some girl from that show getting punched, I hope it was that snickers girl.

How many at bats does a batter have during a game? The record is 716 for a season isn't it? When Mark Taylor equaled Donald Bradman's record of 334 runs in a test in 1998 (he also got 92 runs in the second innings). He faced 723 balls in the test match, over the course of 782 minutes at the crease. If he was going to go out and face 4 or 5 balls, he'd probably rely on his reflexes to do the job, but not when he's going to face over 700 balls over the course of 13 hours.

Depends on how many at bats, average is about four per game across the league I think. A batter receive a maximum of six pitches per at bat and that's if he's walked or works the count. So say between 18-22 balls go past his head a game. Then the season is also 152 games long. Also what about injuries inflicted on the defensive players. I look at the cricket bat and there's no way the ball goes out with the same velocity whereas in baseball pitchers get hit in the face. Pitchers that catch the ball coming at them are lucky, very few catch the line drives that come straight for them. If I remember a few years ago it knocked a pitcher out and the guy had brain damage.

    Random bar question:

If you had shot a bird with an air rifle, but the bird only got injured, would you shoot again just to put it out of its misery? It can't fly.

Why? Were you thinking of leaving it there in case it magically gets better and you don't have to see its scared and defendless eyes while you finish it off?

Unless it's some sort of toothy raptor, you should be taking immediate measures to break that things neck.

Isn't it illegal to shoot birds with air rifles in Sweden?

Nottingham is nice, castle is good; there are tours that go into some crazy cave system in the rock the castle sits on. Good night drinking to be had too with two universities pumping young blood into the bars and clubs.

I too would skip Bangor and Wigan. If up North, try Leeds which is pretty cosmopolitan or better yet, York. Vikings and ****. What more can I say to sell it than Vikings?

Ok, Chester seems to be highly recommended here, so I'll have to check that out.
I'm currently living in Belgium and the Netherlands (I commute between the two weekly), so I can just hop on the EuroStar from Brussels if I get some good tickets.

I do want to see the Imperial War Museum, I haven't been there for years, over a decade so I can hardly remember a thing.

If I had more time/money I would visit friends in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and possibly Birmingham, but I think I'll leave that for another year.

The only thing that is absolutely certain is that I'll be in Dublin for the 17th of March.

    Break its neck.

Btw why do you even shoot birds with your air rifle? its not very likely you gonna get a killing shot.
