I tell you this from experience, personal and second-hand.
If that's what you really want and feel like you will learn from this then you should do it.

My experiences deeply disillusioned me.

I'm not the kind of person for Hollywood BS. If i ever get out there, i'll have to deal with it. If i don't like it, it's a lesson learned. Hence why i'd rather experience as a internship instead of a real job.
I have various options in The Netherlands as well, but the question here is: Public or Commercial? The public broadcasters are heading for heavy weather if goverment policy continues like this, and some of the commercial broadcasters disgust me.

Maybe what I said wasn't entirely fair- it should be taken into consideration that I never wanted to or tried to make this my career and always saw that work as temporary-
furthermore, there are aspects of my personality that perhaps weren't appropriate to the task or that world.
I had a strict, traditional Dutch upbringing, maybe it is the same for you, but modesty in this world (and to some extent in the USA) can sometimes be misinterpreted as being reticent (terughoudend) or secretive. You really have to be brutaal and really enjoy social networking. If you are good at this then there should be no problem, I just don't have a high tolerance for schmoozing and sliming around, which is a requirement.
Also, don't be expect to be treated with any kind of courtesy, this didn't bother me but I saw people who couldn't hang with that and quit over stupid shit.
It's a weird world, lots of guys stroking each others egos and acting like they are the hottest thing since sliced bread.
If you are patient you will be fine.

I think you would be fine, even if it didn't suit you or you just used it to make contacts or as a learning experience. All the 'crew' guys are really great people however.

I just spent 2 hours fvcking about in the park, walking jogging press ups stretching etc. I put on a lot of weight during Ramadan through not joggin outside. It's got to go. I'm finally sick of my man ****s and gut.

indeed, normally once you get older you tend to put on weight like everybody else, or you must stay in great shape and eat really healthy.

I have my class 1 medical on my father's birthday (turning a new decade), and I start training on my birthday (also turning a new decade).

These guys really don't want me to party.
