1. Would the American people ever willingly give up their constitution?
2. If it meant world peace and would save it's troubled economy would they ever adopt another form of government without a fight?
hope not, talking to a mate of mine who was a T-72 commander during the cold war, he said the only things they were afraid of was the Bundeswers professionalism, the Americans patriotism and the British tenacity, even with 50,000 tanks he reckoned they were gonna loose and not get past Munich.
Besides isn't it true that "Free" though they were the North didn't really want them and therefore the creation of ghettos was rife and as a result a lot of the "free" slaves were actually in a worse of position. Let's remember not every slave was whipped and hung. Most were well looked after. Lets be honest a weak underfed slave was no good to anyone.
What are the rights of home owners in regards to self defence in the US, does it differ state to state or does it come under federal juristiction?
State to state. In my state, like many others, the Castle law applies, and I can and will stroke you if you happen to prance into my home. In Texas, you can and will get stroked by a neighbor of a homeowner who observes you breaking into his neighbor's house, even if you are told not to. True story.
