When I was 16 it was every weekend in the Lark Tavern. The drinking age was 18 then.

T3ngu: The have pretty good food. The Boneless Buffalo Chicken Tenders (appetizers) are superb. Best sauce around but, not the really spicy kind.

They support the USA military folks too. Whe I was in Georgia I was told by the soldiers they are good to them. Up here in NY state they have specials on the menu for the VA.

Supposedly they actually export Crown as Fosters, which is why it actually tastes not too bad O/S

Gumbo...is great. Usually spicy. Shrimp and chicken and peppers and tomatoes over rice. Louisiana dish.Sometimes with crawdads.

Grits are a corn product (Southern)ground up and served hot for breakfast usually. Sometimes hominy grits (type of corn). I like them sweet. Down south I usually get them served with sausage slivers in them. Forget how they say it.

For Southern Americans. I prefer oats too. Grits is non-soluble fiber. Oats soluble.

cnureddy.b: There are so many. So many non-chain eateries too. Many, many. Where are you in a small town?
