I am more partial to DS9 than any of the other Startrek series. It veers away from the generic exploration theme of Startrek. Plus its less feel good and more dark than rest of the series'.

I concure. Best writing and knew how to build upon itself and all Trek history to climax.

Weird coincidence. My dad was telling me how this morning he woke up panicked because he thought he was late for work. Every hour costs about 5000€ euros for him so his stress level is pretty high, I'd say. And being an old alcoholic, he gets these episodes of just being crazy. Apparently he walked around downstairs for several minutes not knowing where he was or what he was doing there. I told him the exact same thing happened to me, apart from the alcoholic confusion although I drank several beers last night, it doesn't even begin to compare, I woke up at 7:20 and my heart was jumping out of my chest, panicking about getting to work. He said he woke up at 7:20 too.

Indeed. It set the bar for the remaining series - which unfortunately neither Voyager or Enterprise were able to meet.

Airborne drugs/toxins in the ventilation? And maybe a loud noise.

No they were very average. The last season of Enterprise (3) was kickass though, to late to save it, and the very last episode of Voyager. (finally)

Was it a panic attack? I have heard sometimes consumption of alcohol induces panic attack. Not sure how true it is though.

I thought Voyager was an interesting concept. They could have done a lot of character development but alas most of the characters remained essentially 1-D barring a few. And then there was this same boring recurring theme about bringing civilization and justice to the natives.

Enterprise, I stopped watching after the 1st season....I couldn't take it anymore.

DS9 starts off slow but, good. Gets really good in the 4 season and by the 6th and 7th season is totally kicking ass. Massive season long wars with Klingons, Federation and Romulans against the Dominion and Cardassians and those Breen scum. The galaxy is alight with star fleets being destroyed.

Good continuity and great supporting characters makes it better than the average show. The supporters all become main characters. Each story builds upon itself towards a great finale. It is more Cosmic than viewing the Donkey Kong Kill Screen and viewing attack ships, on fire, off the shoulder of Orion...

I never use subtitles. Somehow screws it up. Translations are never..completely correct. Plus I understand English well enough. lol

I agree. Some massive fighting going on. And the Cardassians/Breen/Dominion are very hateable enemies.

The picture..TOS right? Haven't seen that in years. Might buy it.

Voyager was kind of childish IMHO..Enterprise could have been much better.

No. I don't think so. I'd say calling that a panic attack was an overreaction. I haven't read any studies on panic attacks and alcohol, though.

    Long time no see, STIG.

She (Emma Peel) made form fitting, skintight, mod suits on female-spies famous. All others copy her. Now a happy cliche.

You might try season 3. It brought back all the old original Star Trek story-lines and races. Time Travel and Mirror Mirror universe etc... Was the only whole season worth it. Although, they were several good episodes in season 2 that did not have anything to do with that world of several races that consummed the series. Carbon Creek was very good.

I know you speak and spell English with the best of us. I meant turn them on ( the sub titles) the second time (In English) to get the subtleties. The words one misses. Plus it is very complex and a lot of it is easily missed by anyone. Some of the things they say are cultish and not well known. Spelling and reading helps.

    Subtleties.

The pic is DS 9. A time travel episode where they went back to the Kirk Era and refilmed "The Trouble With Tribles" from their point of view using new footage and the original show itself. Very funny but, just one of many great stories in DS 9. That is Lt. Jadzia Dax with the spots and the symbiant inside.

    You're welcome.

Wish JJ Abrams would do his second Star Trek flick too. Busy with TV , I guess.
