I can't see the Navy endorsing theft of civilian property as part of training.

I forgot to mention that it wasn't a "civilian community" per se. More of like that certain place where SF trainees go to.

Anyways, I think you know what I mean. Training is geared more on making use with what's available in the surroundings.

It was probably one of those things that instructors come up among themselves and not a standard method of testing the trainees.

I don't talk out of my ass. It was something that I was told about when I had beer with a soldier some time ago. It's something done over here in the PI and he saw it first hand since he was one of the "crowd".

I just wanted to know your inputs about that type of training method because it sounded very unorthodox. Would it achieve the same results as with the one you went through?

I could seriously give a rats ass if someone plays airsoft or not, that isn't my issue.

Trying to equate airsoft with real world field matters is my issue.

In any case, the PI SEALs I have worked with never mentioned this type of "training". Perhaps someone thought it would be a good idea and tried it out, I don't know. It's not a standard practice.

It wasn't a call out and I wasn't being sarcastic. That Kiva guy wanted to know and I thought you could explain it to him better.
