CAMARILLO, Calif. (Aug. 12, 2008) A cameraman films U.S. Navy SEALs during an episode of the Fox network television series "24" at Camarillo Airport. The show's producer requested participation from Naval Special Warfare Command to add realism to the scenes. The SEALs fast-roped from helicopters and assaulted a terrorist cell during the filming. The episode will air on Fox in January 2009. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Dominique M. Lasco/Released)

Yeah I know. They had Force Recon in season 4 I think. Real Marines too. Just like here
[QUOTE=jagermeister;3485549]Haha, yup. Not only does he have his fingers close to the ejection port, but he'd also get alot more stability at the end of the barrel if he had his hand supporting the rail system further down like you're saying
Also, he doesn't have the proper eye relief for his ACOG. And on top of that, it doesn't look like an easily repeatable cheek weld on the stock. That last part I could be wrong about. Maybe he does get that same cheek weld every time. But the eye relief definately isn't correct. The third guy back is even worse! =P
Heads-up, don't miss SMGLee's latest thread, "SMGLee for one day.....pix "
He visited a SEAL base, and posted pictures from the armoury, so get your drool buckets ready.
Well, I do know what I'm doing when it comes to small arms marksmanship. Once you become a proficient shooter, you can start altering your shooting habits to what works best for you. But you can't just do what's most comfortable to you from the start because you'll create bad habits quickly. How do you know that these guys know what they're doing? They're in SEAL qualification training. I seriously doubt that they've had a whole lot of marksmanship training thus far. As far as I'm tracking, the Navy has done away with the M16 portion of their boot camp and only does familiarization with the M9 and M500. Just because he's going through SEAL training doesn't mean he knows about eye relief.
Hey, I have a great idea, let's all sharpshoot SEAL's and their training based off of still photos, because we think we know more and are there training them. Oh wait were not there and were not training them...
Seriously
If I was at that range I would have still politely corrected those sailors as I hope anybody else would do for me if I was doing something wrong. But you're right, we're not there. We're just making comments and conversation on military photographs. Isn't that what's done on this forum?
