New German Artillery has a stronger gun than Soviet - so going German artillery way isn't a bad decision at all imho.
I'm not sure about Soviet heavy still being the best choice - I've gone that way, have an IS-4 but am not too happy with it.
The German ones don't seem to be all that great either - don't know about US - they look interesting on paper though.
I don't like the arty nerf! Reduced birds eye and seems to only get 2 out of 5 hits now with perfect aiming circle... talking about 2 target forms off randomly. My poor exp generator sucks now lol.
I play both the German and Russian meds, working on panther II then t-54. Enjoy my panther more then my t-44 though.
I see American heavies getting nerfed some soon. I punch right through German and Russian meds with an 88, but bounce all to hell off American. Only effective hitting the hull.
hm... tell me how you like the T-54 once you get it - I wanted to go for Panther II first but then seen thought the T-54 kinda looked better on paper.

I've started with German arty - have the Wespe and hate it.
New maps kinda suck - one wrong move and you get shot up from all directions including from above.
First batch of maps had kinda better map design with plenty of good placed cover even on maps with vast open fields.
Hopefully there will be a complete reset soon - I hate it how everybody and their grandmother has high tier tanks - it was much more fun before the soft reset when there were much fewer high tier tanks around.
The high tier fights are boring as hell, nothing really goes on in them. I understand that it's expensive to service the big tanks but come on.
Well the T-44 has speed over the Panther both in movement and turret, but it seems to me that the Panther's gun is better and hella accurate at range. I'll be in a Panther II way before the T-54, then the grind to get it upgraded to gold starts. As it stands I have about 2k more exp before I can sit in the Panther II and that leaves me with 25K free exp for upgrades in it... which isn't much. The T-54 will most likely be nerfed a bit right as I get into it :P
Shouldn't have went for German arty, Russian arty is much better.
I got my SU-152 lastnight and the default gun is so awful. Also, anyone else getting the bug when your zoomed all the way in and your shells disappear?
I think it has something to do with radio/view range.
I've played some Soviet arty before the soft reset - it was ok - and yeah the lower tier arty did feel better than German so far - have you tried the new high tier German arty as well?
They look pretty much the same as Soviet but with heavier gun.
Anyway I don't think I'll continue with arty -it's not that much fun playing them.
After having played most of Soviet heavy tanks and TD's up to SU-100 I kinda have to say I had the most fun playing the TD's.
Are German TD's really better? I could still switch I guess but it would be a bit of a waste.
I also try to get to high tier Soviet medium tanks in the hope they're more fun and less costly as the Heavies.
Might go medium German tanks should I ever have the credits to spare.
US tanks do look interesting but so far I didn't have the spare time to go through the low tier ones.
I love my Ferdinand, I miss my Jagdpanther. The German TD's have better armor and their guns do more penetration. With the exception of the SU-100 and the 100mm and 122mm.
