Indeed. Still my favorite RTS even after a decade. I've played almost all of them: Starcraft I&II, Rise of Nations, Rome Total War, Age of Mythology, Empire Earth, etc... I still prefer AoE II to the others.

Yup. Goths are pretty sweet with their ability to produce their Huskarl units at a very rapid rate. Vikings are good because of their health regen and longboats. Byzantines are good if you like playing defense.
