One of the largest scenarios I've made in the Combat Mission series between both CMAK and CMBB. So far I don't have a name for it other than "An Unnamed Battle" which is a placeholder for now.

This view is from the German starting point. Most of the towns in the picture are defended by Russians:

I'm taking a few more pictures of the map so you can see the towns more clearly.

The farming communities of Goryunov and Leonov:

The "twin" towns of Galanin and Khrulov:

    The village of Pavel:

The small river island village of Bezarin:

    The small city of Solomatin:

The other small city just around the bend is Afonin:

View of the map from the Russian side:

Just finished the Gold Edition. The struggle to make it work under today's Win7/64 couldn't foil the experience.

It's one of the best vintage FPS out there imo, if you can cope with the learning curve.

Nowadays it shouldn't be hard to get Dark Engine games (Thief 1 & 2 and System Shock 2) running on modern hardware. All you really need is DDFix. Latest version includes widescreen support, hires texture support, postprocessing options etc.

Now I feel stupid for not knowing that. Thanks for the link! Now I'm gonna restart the Metal Age with all new nifties.

EDIT: Just discovered that for T2 there's a better meta-tool called Tafferpatcher.
    Goodbye cruel world.

If you haven't tried any Thief fan missions, then you are in for a real treat. Many fan missions, or FMs as they are usually called, far surpass original missions. Some screenshots of one of the best FMs out there:

I used to play there, it's the best private server now that Wowscape is dead. It used to be very easy to hack on those servers using Cheat Engine, I wonder if the server admins ever fixed it.

    Lady Sėla de Tansarville.

Fighting the Kayran near the Pontar river.

Letho. If you think the Kayran is hard, wait until you fight this guy. Made me realise that the combat system in the game is just unfairly stacked against you on anything above easy, though the correct combination of potions and blade poisons does help.

I'm not using the GamersFirst client, I did the direct download which only includes the game. But I'll check for spyware anyway, thanks for the warning.

Medal of Honor was an awesome game. I regret selling it.
