That and what Counsellor said... I enjoyed Empire (once I got the hang of the illogical - in my eyes at least - research trees) in the whole, but there were things lacking, and I stand by that the total war series are always better when they're based in era's/epochs where there are no, or little use of firearms (original shogun was superb, but I suspect thats mostly due to it being rather fresh and new and never been seen before kind of thing, and Rome was tasty as well). Never did get the hang of the ship battle thing either, was fun to play around with in single battles, but were a huge time sink and brain drain if you tried to manage any sort of mini armarda in the campaign

Me and some friends signed up for a LoL tournament for ****s and giggles. We got in. We have to play some of the best teams in the world, who've played for thousands of dollars of prize money before. Should be a giggle ahaha

So i am attacking a Greek city with not to strong army so i hire some Hoplites to just stand there and spear people.
After ramming the gates down and killing everything that moves i send the Hoplites to form a line because the Greeks are coming from the right.

They send some Hoplites and some Pelasts, so i plug all the gaps with small bits of Infantry and then put the large Velates force behind the Hoplites.

By the time they reach my hoplites they have been ****ed up by the Velates

And then they send in 1 more Hoplite unit.

Exactly the same thing happens again..... So i get 2 of my Cav units and send them round the left to take the square

Whilst they are going around the Hoplites and most of the Infantry move up closer to the main road. When the Cavalry reaches the road that leads to the centre there is 1 survivor of the Greek Hoplites trying to leg it......

Only 2 units of Cavalry are guarding the centre so i send mine in to smash them

Which they do with ease and the count down starts

On the other side of the city i tried to move the blokes up to the road but they all went crazy and started attacking Greek Missle and Cavalry troops

Was not a bad thing this happend about 5 sec's after!

    Glorious victory!

I no it's a bit long but i was bored

I was scouting a wood with Green Jackets, because I figured it would be full of enemy. I was right. Three guys were immediately fragged and one hit the deck panicked. The final member of the section was much more courageous. He just stood there and fired a LAW at the BTR supressing the unit.

I'm not surprised. Look at the commander's name.

ww1 would be great, but then again, very boring

but if i come to think of it, not if it deals with alot smaller pieces of land (the no mans land and every section of the front) and smaller units (the squads and fortification), that could almost work in a TWish way..
