Awesome! I've been meaning to get back into that game. I did the free trial years ago before the huge update and had a blast. Was involved in some decent fights in that game.

I agree. Although the main let down of HOI 3 for me were the massive performance issues I had.
Did you ever encountered funny AI actions? In my last game as USA, the Allies declared war on the Soviets in 1941 (due to high Soviet aggression level I think), Axis started Barbarossa just a few days later and Japan refused to bomb Pearl Harbor but let my sit on my fortified islands rather dumbstruck while the rest of the world was one giant FFA deathmatch.

In one game I was playing with Germany and Hitler just died some few years after I started in 1936. Never made it to complete a game, every time I got in to war with Russia I couldn't manage to defeat them, and I was getting bombed by the allies all the time, never manage to take Britain too
I think HOI 3 is very confusing, I tried to play it like 5 times, but somethings like managing the army and the companies I couldn't understand, HOI 2 is more simple in that point.
To defeat Russia, you need to hit them early in the game before they start producing planes. Russia has stopped me from invading several times with their plane spam.
