Problem is most national decks can't field such a multilayered air defense.
West Germans don't have any Fliegerfaust/Stinger, for absolutely stupid reasons

Grab HoI3, all the expansion packs (SF, FtM, TFH. Also, don't bother with the DLCs, they are unnecessary), install the latest patch, install a mod (I personally like August Storm: http://auguststorm.com/) for more realism/challenge. Enjoy...

PS: HoI3>HoI2 (more micro, more challenging, better AI, more immersive gameplay elements added, etc...)

Its why i do not do pure national decks, the few extra activation points are not worth rage. I do have a few decks that are mostly national, i have a Nordic deck for example with Denmark, Normway and Sweden and also a mostly Uk deck that works ok but the non national decks work best imho.

At least Pact AA is strong as ever. When placed smartly, an umbrella out of BuKs, Tunguskas and Strelas wreak havoc among any and all NATO airplanes. Two 10v10 today, and most of my points came from planes and Abrams lol

Can't say if the opponents were only stupid or SEAD wasn't as effective as I had originally feared.

Do the Buk´s have more range in ALB? In EE they had about 4000 meters , that wasnt too much...

    4450 vs planes
    2800 vs helicopters

But range doesn't matter that much to me, since I prefer to deploy them in ambush positions. Planes/players don't have enough time to react when suddenly a Buk or Tunguska opens up from behind a hill or town. At least that's how I scored most of my kills in the last games

In 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 I'd say it's a lot better now. As NATO I can now use air with care, but not thoughtlessly which is how it should be.

I slowly improve. Now I can fight draws and occasional even win, even though I mostly act as casualty absorber

I won a game against Colonel Buttrape and Cthulhu Ftagn

Seeing "Colonel Buttrape" cracked me up. I'm so mature, man.

I bought Game Dev Tycoon, play it many times, make it to million level many times, but as soons as I hires 1 or 2 employees, my buinses start failing. I develop new engines, new game types, new everything, but hardly any game makes any game.

My mistake was trying to experiment too much which didn't yield a steady income.
concentrate on one genre of game and rotate 3-4 good matching topics.
(e.g. RPG + Fantasy, RPG + Medieval, RPG + Vampire) - find a good working ratio of dialogue to gameplay to level design etc (for RPG for example lots of dialogue, few gameplay and level design ) - if it works once, it'll generally work for the next same types of games, so don't touch it anymore once you found something that works well.
Don't start doing medium games as soon as you can - instead keep making some more small games to make money, then hire your fist employee and make a few more small games. Give devs training every now and then and if you're comfortable with their skills go over to medium. Same thing with large - don't start making them before you've got 4 devs with OK skill levels.

    This worked for me.
