    Default Wargame: European Escalation

    http://www.wargame-ee.com/

Wargame: European Escalation is a real-time strategy game on PC, that maintains the two core values of the classic wargame (depth and reflection) while offering a dynamic, real-time gameplay, and an incredibly spectacular and realistic visual experience.

Set in the rarely explored Cold War period of 1975-1985, Wargame: European Escalation explores the battles 'that could have been' if history had taken the wrong turn at some point in the conflict. On both sides of the Iron Curtain that tears Germany in two, the two military alliances, NATO and the Warsaw Pact, are on the verge of war. The zeal of a patrol close to the East-german border eventually leads to a firefight with their enemy brothers. Soon the local skirmish pushes the already-tense relationship between NATO and the Warsaw Pact over the edge into all-out war.

Both superpowers have enough nuclear fire at their disposal to annihilate all life on the planet, but of course this is the very last resort; if an open conflict was to happen, it would take the form of conventional warfare in Germany, and throughout Europe.

The world is about to fall into the feared 3rd World War. Wargame: European Escalation plunges you into the midst of this conflict, through a big and explosive military campaign!
It seems that beta will be released in September.

    EDIT:
    - What do you think of custom content made by a community of players? Would
you consider incorporating a map editor to the game that much missed by your
    previous title R.U.S.E.?
We love modders and players who customize and integrate the content on their own. On
R.U.S.E. we have not been able to offer modding tools because we were working on
proprietary tools that we could not make available to players. This time, we’ll offer
modding tools for Wargame. We have already begun to adapt these tools for the game,
we want them to be the most suitable possible, and
that's a lot of work. At present, we are not sure that
these tools will be available at launch but we plan to
integrate them and make them available to the
    community as soon as possible.

I think this game has a lot of potential and releasing the modding tools will prevent it from slowly dying like WIC did.

So I'm playing a new game on HoI 3 since I got Semper Fi. Seems there was a genuine twist in the tale this time. Mostly because Fall Gelb didn't happen. The Germans decided to just punch through the Maginot Line instead of flanking through the low countries...which went surprisingly well. Between this punch to the jaw and the Italians kicking them in the balls down south, the French are probably going to surrender within a week or two. Unfortunately most of my army is busy trying to defend Copenhagen and Oslo, so I have just 8 Infantry Divisions digging in, with two Armoured Divisions in reserve to try and salvage some sort of defensive line for the frogs to retreat behind and regroup.

Are you liking that? Tell me how it is. I may buy it.

Oh and for the fellow SR:CW players, how do you launch a nuke? I have a B-3 with a nuke in its bomb bay ready to smite those heathen NK bastards but the B-3 will not release it. I set permissions and gave it launch authority for nukes but it will not release it it. If I don't do something soon, China and NK are going to overrun the 38th parallel.

If you sign up on their forums they'll send you a code to download it starting on Saturday I think, otherwise it comes out next week for everyone

The demo is originally scheduled for 23rd to be released. The early release today is a "gift" for the ones who decided to pre order the game; the rest has to wait until the 23rd

Edit: randir beat me to it

I think the Honour Guard members get it on the 22nd.
Everyone else gets it the 23rd on PC and Xbox, and 24th on PS3.

Yes, I'm an Ultramarines fan. Though I don't agree with everything in the latest Codex...
