Iron Front Liberation 1944 comes out tomorrow too. RO2 was a cracking disappointment to me, so I'm gonna give this one a spin.
Got RO2 on release (plus pre order beta access). Mixed feelings about it. It had the potential to be truly great, but it was too buggy and unreliable to be truly enjoyable. I've not played for a bit, but I'll probably hop in again, see how it is.
Please share your thoughts if you do. I am sick of games that are not worth their mettle. In recent years there has been a huge decline in "fun" - and a huge increase in "buy dlc to enjoy the game...kinda" syndrome. Releasing half completed and buggy games is on the rise as well. I found myself having the most fun with old titles, and games that are heavily modable (arma, skyrim, oblivion, fallout etc).
Its so hard to find a game one can get really into these days.
You can't really program misery and semper gambi into a game for the full realism. They game though was prophetic, if there is such word. I remember fighting Russians in Georgia and thinking WTF? Russia fighting Georgians. Really?
I recently tried Risen2, it's like skyrim sort of, but you're get blow fools away with your trusty musket and pierce them with your epee. Epee, WTF?

How about C&C: Generals which started before Baghdad's Thunder Run?
It was obvious that the war was going to break out. EA just monetized on the political situation at that time. War on terror, whoo, lets make a C&C out of it!
Iron Front Liberation 1944 looks good. I can't wait for the ArmA 2 community to port I44 to this game.
Killing people in avatar conquest. Some guy decided to march his whole army in a long columns, with unprotected flanks.
My people are getting killed in avatar conquest. Those black and white troopers belong to mp.net lurker - Veath.
