Played my first one and a half hours of MP3. Runs decent and looks good enough. GTA IV engine obviously has some drawbacks.
FRAPS currently doesn't work with the game, so no screens but one yet.
The shooting mechanics feel pretty perfect to me - guns pack a punch, you can almost feel the impact (not to mention the realistic hit animations).
Difficulty 'Hard' is tough enough for starters, though I think only 'Hardcore' will reach Max Payne 1 levels.
"along with at least 6 other aircraft." ? Combined Arms will be released on its own without any other planes. Iris have announced that they will be making 3 planes over the next 3 years, DCS are making DCS: Fast Jet (+ extra FC3 aircraft?) and perhaps other 3rd parties are making planes that we don't know about yet. However saying "it's coming" is a bit vague, I mean I could say "it's coming along with 300 new aircraft" because I'm talking about over a 10 year period.
Max is still downloading. 1 hour and 50 minutes to go.

It doesn't require Steam if you bought it on DVD. Might try if it still recognizes the overlay.
Yeah I just found that out... Weird, considering the digital version is sold through there, you'd think they'd make it steamworks supported.
Loving this game so far, great graphics, realistic gunfire, physics and more feel real. It's also a quite decent PC-port, have no issues at all.
Ouch.
Oh, I am so looking forward to Max Payne 3. Hopefully Amazon sends it tomorrow.
I love the FAL and G36 in MP so much.
I'm in total nostalgia mode. This game is great.
