    Quoted for truth.

Mass Effect 3 was one of the best games that I have ever played, until the last 20 minutes. In fact the whole trilogy goes in to my top 5 favorite games, but because of the way the end was handled I just don't have the same motivation to play trough it again as I had with the last two games.

I'm definitely tempted by EU3 and maybe one other strategy game from the Paradox Interactive sale. Can't decide between Victoria II for the 19th century Empire building or Crusader Kings II for the medieval misery.

    Advice?

EU3 certainly is worth it... I spent lots of time with it in the past (get the complete pack with the DLCs)

The other two.. I have not played yet.

It certainly is, shame you can't play the 2 DLC's on the MAC, so I still have to play with the outdated graphics.

The complete pack contains less than the other pack. This makes no sense :P

Europa Universalis III Complete £4.99 Contains EUIII, In Nomine and Napoleons Ambition
Europa Universalis III Chronicles £9.99 Contains EUIII, In Nomine, Napoleons Ambition, Heir to the Throne and Divine Wind

I take it you meant the pack with the Heir to the Throne and Divine Wind DLC?

Yes, that is the pack you need to play the game to it's fullest.

Newest update of my magnificent Empire:

I cheated for some extra money as I'm planning to exterminate the Turks as my final act on the game.

Decide quickly, all paradox games are on sale right now.
IMHO, CK2 is more like a role-playing strategy game with all those intrigues and relationships etc.
Vic2 is more about economy, warfare, politics etc.
But if you buy Vic2 you have to buy the expansion.

As for Max Payne 3... It's a nice sequel of the franchise and fun must of the time. Pretty atmospheric ande true to the lore, too. I have three issues with this game, though: 1. All that flickering and flashing like right out of a Tony Scott movie. Boy do I hate this kind of visual showiness. 2. For example you run around with a G36, well, because that's the weapon you picked. But then comes a cutscene and the game forces you to go all mad gangbanger with two Deagles for no real reason whatsoever. Thank you very much. And 3: The sheer amount of hostiles you encounter is ridiculous. I mean, sure it's funny to shoot 'em up but you get to kill more mobsters in Hoboken than the Modern Warfare crew does kill enemies in a trilogy about World War III...!

Got into a fight with some gangbangers after a Mayhem mission ended a bit weirdly. Needless to say, things got a bit complicated.

Usually not a good idea to tell a Hind pilot that a purple helicopter is kinda fruity.

I bought Crusader Kings II last night on the recommendation of Spartan. Checked my accounts this morning and discovered I'm 50 quid richer than I thought, so I then bought the same game again twice. By which I mean Eeuropa Universalis III and Victoria II.

Now I can dominate the world for a ****ing millenium.

Thats probably the time you will spend with these games

I should start another game of EU3 myself.. has been quite some time since I last played it.

Playing with one of the bigger countries is rather easy btw. depending on what you plan on doing.
Last time I tried to conquer the world with Badenia.. which has 2 provinces at the start... I did not get very far though and only made it to 4-5 provinces before I was overrun :/
