Infantry advancing while one of my Abrams provides overwatch.

Convoy rolling towards the first FOB I captured in the mission. Fulda Gap requires careful managment of resources and the vehicles themselves. The few Bradley CFVs you have are vital, as all other vehicles and infantry you have, come with crap optics.

Soviet armoured advance element coming under fire from my 2 M109 SPHs.

Overview of about 50% of the map in the beginning phase of the mission.

Part of the kill report for the fulda gap mission. If you could name units, i'd call this one da juggahnaut, bitches. It killed so many enemy units that the kill list didn't fit on the screen: one CFV killed 7 UAZs, 3 BMPs, two ZSUs, two t-64s, a T-62, a T-72, two grads, a BRDM CP unit, four motorschutzen units, a motostrelki unit, a MT-LB Strela-10, a BRDM konkur, a FAGOT squad, and a SPW-40. CFV STROOOONG!!!!11one!

Thanks for the screenshots of wargame RSone. I also play this, but mainly on multiplayer as haven't progressed past the last stage of the first chapter yet, finding it quite hard to defeat the final Soviet surge prior to the peace treaty being signed. Any advice? Also, any news on future add ons such as Bulgarian or Italian armies?

You mean like turn based or something? No, it's strictly real time.

DayZ. It's a Mod for ARMAII. You'll have to pay for ARMA(don't think the free version has mod support, but actualy players can fill you in on this) but the mod itself is free.

What I did was send a pair of Sagaies(french recon with relatively powerful and accurate main gun on it) around the map to take out the AIs CP vehicles. If you take out his command vehicles, the AI is forced to bring in a much smaller force. IIRC I wasn't able to defend the secondary objective(couldn't get all of the CP units, some of them were pretty heavily guarded by T-80's etc) but it was enough to hold out. Once the end of the timer is in sight, you'll get some free units. It's important your units remain relatively stationary. You can set up a forward defense line, but the tree lines around the bridge are pretty good cover from which you can use Panzergenadier squads and TOW units(depending on if you have those unlocked) to outshoot advancing enemy armour. If you have the credits, the Gazelle Canon is a pretty good choice for harassing soviet armour. Since it's a flying unit, its weapons will likely hit the top of the tanks, where their armour rating is much less, so you might even take out a few.

Please note that I did this mission quite some time ago, patches may have changed the viability of strategies and tactics. Eugen managed to make the first mission of the Dabrowski's Mazurka campaign much harder, for example.
I've no idea if Eugen is going to do any add-ons. The game is already chockfull with (sometimes rather superficial variants of) units. I hope they'll release modding tools/a SDK so modders can tinker with the game. I like it, but IMHO the game needs some UI changes. Order giving is relatively spartan, and it's hard to keep track of what you told which unit to do.

Heavy Gear 3 is in production (so another mech game besides MW Online and Hawken).

Some early and not really revealing concept art: http://www.computerbase.de/news/2012...-angekuendigt/

Nope, it's at a set pace.
