Have you tried the Europa Barbarium mod as well? I have the vanilla and I can't decide between the two mods. I also have Barbarian Invasion so if you have an mod suggestions for that I'm all ears.

On a related note. I'm having trouble getting Combined Ops to work on Steam after installing BAF. Both ARMA2 and OA work fine separate but I can't seem to combine them.

Yeah I've played EB, in my opinion RS2 is better. EB is all about historical accuracy and they even recorded accurate languages for the factions, but I think the campaign is kind of boring and turns get bogged down because of all the custom scripts. Roma Sur****** 2 isn't as historically accurate as EB but the graphics are a lot better and the campaign is more fun. You can train multiple units at once which allows for more and larger battles. Unlike EB turns don't take forever since there aren't many scripts running. On the downside the better graphics of RS2 come at a price, I cant max out the game like I can with vanilla without having a framerate in the 20's. Performance on high settings is worse than Medieval 2 on high settings. Overall they're both great mods but I think RS2 is better. The EB team is actually making EB2 for Medieval 2, so you can also look forward to that. As for Barbarian Invasion, the RS2 launcher lets you choose to use the BI.exe so you'll get the night battles and river crossings.

FFS.. anybody else having issues with ARMA 2 AO after the patch? Just the other day everything was fine and i could play but then the patch came and it seems that i get an error on almost every server because it says some file was deleted or what not..

Got to reading and this was a server issue because the vehicles/weapons .pbo was moved during the patch and the server just has to do something?

If so..can some people play and some people cant?! Im lost...

Are you running any addons? To include things such as sound addons and what not? That could be it, if not....maybe the servers require certain addons? (main problem with A2, lack of a major uniform mod).

The AI is horrible, the missions that come with it are pretty blank. The only good thing about this game is the graphics/look, this game is the best at looking good on screenshots so don't be fooled by them as most of them are set up and never happen like that in the game... It's basically like the other games from the series with updated graphics. I think it's horrible.

IMAO, ArmAII has the best AI in any open world games so far

since most other games on markets (e.g. COD) do not have any "AI" at all, just a bunch of bots running on scripts...
