They just ruined JA2:Reloaded by switching from TBS to Realtime-w/-pause.
Damn you, Bitcomposer.
I'm replaying JA2 v.1.13.

I've heard about that as well.
WTF were they thinking?
Are there really people who like that kind of gameplay?
Who do they think will play a jagged alliance game anyway apart from fans.
They're kidding themselves if they think with realtime gameplay their game will suddenly become a popular mainstream hit or something.
All it'll do is piss off the ones who actually were interested in their game.
They mentioned Fallout 3 in the 'we're going real-time' post, so they were probably thinking something like: 'Lol, if some stinky Bethesda managed to sell rebooted cult classic ip to mainstream crowd, we are going to be successfull fo sure'.
If thats the case, I only hope they fail hard and someone else pics Jagged Alliance, maybe some of our developers again( AFAIK, JA2 was only big in Germany and Russia, so it's only natural).
So, I'm like 15 hours in the game and those are my guns, I'm trying to prepare to repell Drassen counterattack, needs more guns and explosives, also need to hire more mecs, only have 4 so far.

what do you do in minecraft, I'm serious, besides build stuff, what do you do?
The basic point is that you have to source resources in order to build more advanced stuff(like glass etc.) and build more efficient tools to do so. Of course, the law of diminishing returns apply. The more 'advanced' the resource you want to get to, the more effort and basic resources you have to put in to get one unit of the stuff you want. This is also how minecraft encourages people to work together on projects.
and when do these monsters come?
You mean the big wave attack? Get as much pre-loaded guns and rifles as possible and get into the Santos Bar in D13. Once the enemies (50-80, depends on difficulty) enter the sector, use a non-silenced gun to attract them. They will come one by one into the bar, and you will got always the first shot. Only headshots! If you should run out of APs (and you will) and/or ammo (and you will), shoot an enemy into the leg that he / she fells to the ground and blocks the entrance. This tactic worked everytime for me, even on very difficult / expert with 80 gonzos. However, it took me almost two hours to wipe them out. You sure won't have any logistical problems after the battle, though.
Good luck.
I always fought back the Drassen counterattack in the town (the map with the church and the mine).
There are a couple of nice spots on roofs where you have clear shots in all directions.
Works best with at least 5 mercs - one to cover each general direction and 1-2 who can run to the side which gets attacked most.
If you also have scoped weapons and a couple grenades it makes things easier.
