Men held for powder scam

Johannesburg - Two men accused of defrauding a military general of R18 000 in a scam, are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court on Monday, the Hawks said.
Spokesperson Captain Paul Ramaloko said the two Congolese men, aged 44 and 38, were arrested on Saturday after selling the general a powder they claimed could produce money.
They apparently told him that, using the powder, he would be able to convert dollars into nearly R10m.
