Wow, that's impressive. I had no idea this existed.
Really interesting pictures, thank you
Now question:
How long can this kind of base support itself incase of Nukes n´stuff?

And also the base is built in 'blocks' so if one block is damaged it will just have to survive best it can with no help from the other blocks. If everything is fine tho I think it's 3 months or so. If electricity is cut they have generators, fresh water system, kitchen, beds etc for 2000 people. (double the crew, i.e they can take care of guests too) The Command central is in the center block in its own building on a cushioned springsystem so a earthquake from a nuke shouldnt affect computer systems etc.
I have no idea. Hopefully long enough to work til´the end of the war and probably much longer than the rest of the society. But in a full out nuclear war, whats the point?Originally Posted by Huhtis

Did Sweden have any other undergound shelters for navy ships beside Musko ?
I doubt that there are any more underground shelters that big for ships. Offcourse, there´s always been rumours about underground submarineshelters here and there around the swedish coastline. BTW, IIRC there were plannes to build two more Muskö-sized underground bases.

I just had to post it, I was born in Sundsvall and grew up and still live in Gävle (they are cities along the coast)!
