We have the same thing with kids in the mall.
Walk slower than hell, and just take up the whole lane. I just walk through them.
ELEVATOR ETIQUETTE.
MY God, the crap you endure when using an elevator. When you are waiting for an elevator, always wait to the sides and allow people to exit the elevator. That's how it works. When I started out humping computer hardware, I used to smash into people when exiting the elevator who did not exercise this courtesy with extreme prejudice. It was different in places with freight elevators. There, you just go slow and chat up the mail room and go get high with them on your lunch break.
I understand I cannot expect this in most public places...but in the workplace, it's inexcusable. The same really large women try to hockey check you as if the same elevator they have used for the last 5 years has MAGICALLY GOTTEN FASTER AND WILL LEAVE THEM ON THE GROUND FLOOR FOREVER NEVER TO RETURN.

This is all so true. Really, I hate these assholes who can't wait and stand infront of the elevator looking at you like someone just smashed a beer bottle in their face.

What I don't understand, and maybe I've lived in Minneslowta too long, is that it's always grumpy overweight office hags who do that.
Us dudes always defer. Rarely do I see fully grown men do the tough guy bit, unless they have a screw loose.
Happens a lot where I am, of course I'm at a 95% male, pseudo-military college, one step up from a military high school.

What I hate lately is that time when you wake up after alarm clock but you are still lying in bed trying to catch few last minutes or not having strength to go up... Last time I did that I "slept" for additional 3 hours and was wasted... I need to construct bed working like a lorry, where cargo space is tilting up dropping anything inside on the ground...
