I remember when I was due an Army Commendation Medal, for the job I'd done in Kuwait, when my Guard unit was deployed. Instead of giving it to me in a ceremony, the admin NCO walked by and tossed the cased medal to me and said "catch", and that was it.
I hate how when you eat a hot pocket and towards the end, all the filling leaks out of a secret hole in the back and falls onto your lap. I hate it with a burning passion.
