    Default Tru-Spec BDUs ACU

Can anybody tell me if this make of BDUs ACU is of good quality ? I have seen a ACU uniform made by Tru-Spec that I would like to get but dont want anything that is going to fall to bits.

You may find that mixing tru-spec and official pieces shows up a difference in shades. AFAIK tru-spec are using 100% cotton and the real deal are poly/cotton so they'll wash out differently

Tru-Spec appears to me, to be more grey. Where as Propper has the foilage green. I've found Propper to be better quality than Tru-Spec. IMO if you're going to spend the money. You might as well spend a few dollars more for Propper.

I'd just wait if you are after the ACU's bud. THey are supposed to start hitting military clothing and sales on post this month. Better to wait and get the real deal then blow hard earned cash on something that would fall apart and is not up to reg. standard.
I've been wanted them to so I don't have to worry about starching and polishing..but I can wait if it means not gettgin screwed over.

I had a set of MARPAT from Truspec..just the trousers..I used them one time to do some work around the property..The camo pattern rubbed off the knees..When i washed them after that day of work they looked liked the had been washed 30x.. The knees were gray where the print rubbed off..

Default authentic army issue ACUs NOT repro or MILSPEC copies

Why waste your money on knock offs? If you look hard enough you can find the real deal. You will pay about $30 more for the set but they are not 100% cotton and many will have the glint tape on them still (even though it is supposed to be removed by order of the DOD) If you just can't spend the extra cash, get the Propper brand. Tru-spec is just a waste of money in comparison. BDU.com will be getting thier (real DOD issue ACUs in 2 weeks) but they do have the Propper versions in stock in all sizes. I jst did a search and here are some authentic ACUs both with the IFF tape, and with the IFF removed (those without will save you $20)

ebay store (smmb1990) they can help you out. just email them the sizes you need and Steven will put up a buy it now auction for you.

Tru-spec makes two level. The real ones with the NSN's in them made to the contract specifications and then coloration, and the afke airsoft ones. These are all cotten, while the issue is just that, the issue blend. The fakes do not wash well, they do not wear well, and they do not hold up well.

We have sold dozens of the NSN items with no complaints yet. If you need a set of issued ACUs let me know. We stock all sizes, and are waiting on the ACU ECWS jackets now.

And FWIW, the PX will be stocking uniforms made by several different companies, including Tru-Spec and Propper. So you could get either one and not know it. Same with your issue when you get them.
