I used to wear a Luminox 3901 Navy Seal Dive Watch until someone stole it from me. I haven't thought about what I'm going to get to replace it.. perhaps a simple G-Shock or something.

I personally think the best watch is the luminox series 3000 navy seal dive watch with the navy seal compass i have had mine for almost 5 years never had to replace a battery or nothing. Before that i had a cassio g shock and it was a good watch also. But suunto is also a good watch. Just my opinion on what i know are good watches.

I bought a Luminox 3000 "Navy SEALS" watch about five years ago, and it was great. Wore it hiking, on Law Enforcement raids, National Guard weekends, and swimming in the Ocean. Then, about two months ago, it suddenly quit on me. I took it to a couple of watch shops here in Japan, and was told that I have to contact Luminox to get it repaired. I found a link on the web and sent them an e-mail, but never received a response.
I don't have my warranty or receipt, because I live in Japan and most of my stuff is in Oregon. Any ideas?

Every watch (except for the model I have now which is battery powered) I have ever owned has been an automatic SEIKO. They are wonderful pieces.

I've had two Timex watches, and they were both total crap. Casios were good though.

    G-Shock for the win.

I scratched the crap out of my Suunto watchface/glass/whatever. Apparently they replace it for $50 bucks. Neato eh?

I still like a G-shock. An analog solar G-shock would be the witche's nipples.

Got this from Costco for $40, so far, so good, solar power, automatic time update for accuracy, for the price, it's a bargain and if it broke within the next year, I am not going to cry over it.

I rocked a Suunto Vector throughout Ranger School and loved it. The face did take a beating though. I may have to look into the replacement down the road. Great watch none the less.

I'm sorta surprised they let you carry one (for the compass issue). THe open face on them is a scratch magnet. Good to hear it worked for you. I got mine at the Sand Hill annex.

    Congrats again

Never been much for the fancy watches myself:

    Constant digital LCD watch:

£6.99 from Argos. Had it two years and it's still going strong, despite being battered, bruised, scratched, soaked, dropped, stood on etc etc in various training areas across the UK. Only downside is that the light is stupidly bright when trying to be discrete!
