Why is it characters in these sotries have nicknames like Venom or Iceman? I don't know anyone with nicknames like that, my friends have nicknames like Chunk, Sparky and Chris the Wanker.

it's the same in the military, you get goofy nicknames,snot,porkchop ect, you very rarely get the "cool" ones, like snake and **** like that, and they are mostly self appointed

btw, mine's Jaffa, as in Jaffa cake biscuit's, because of my fondness for them
